Sustanable Design:

Providing A Green Future

LEED Certified, Woodcrest Library

Honoring the history of the region, this award-winning library provides a modern interpretation of Craftsman style architecture and demonstrates environmental stewardship.

Presented by:   HMC Architects

Join us as we explore the sustainable design features this 10,000-SF, LEED certified, public library holds.  Tours will be lead through the facility.  Highlights include the exposed wood structure, mission-detailing and stone elements.  Native boulders are clustered to create seating areas for instruction about water conservation and the appreciation of natural resources.  An outdoor reading porch accessible from the entry connects to the water-wise demonstration garden, and the terraced site includes a garden of drought-tolerant plant material and expansive shade trees.
